02–05 November 2026 • Antalya, Türkiye
Dear Esteemed Scientists and Sector Stakeholders,
On behalf of the Department of Animal Health Economics and Management, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, we are honored to invite you to the 6th National Livestock Economics Congress, where the economic, social, and strategic importance of the livestock sector in Türkiye, as well as the economic dimensions of animal diseases at national and farm levels, will be discussed within the framework of various scientific studies.
In today’s world, where global food supply and food security have gained strategic importance, livestock production is both a driving force of the national economy and a cornerstone of rural development. However, the sector is facing many complex challenges, including climate change, increasing costs, and global market dynamics.
The Department of Animal Health Economics and Management plays a key role at this point by contributing to the development of sustainable production models and effective policies for livestock enterprises and decision-makers at the national level.
Within this context, the main focus areas of the congress are as follows:
• National Livestock Policies: The current status, competitiveness, and future vision of livestock production in Türkiye,
• Animal Health Economics: The cost of diseases, the economic returns of preventive veterinary medicine, and the financial dimensions of epidemic animal diseases,
• Farm Management and Productivity: The impact of modern management techniques, digitalization, and precision livestock farming technologies on profitability,
• Marketing and Value Chain: Supply security of animal products, price stability, and consumer behavior.
In this congress, where current studies and future projections related to livestock economics will be discussed, the contributions of distinguished scientists are of great importance to us.
We look forward to welcoming you to our congress, which will be held in Antalya between 2–5 November, hosted by the Department of Animal Health Economics and Management, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
